Carrapato has its structure made of aluminum 6061, its weapon revolves around its own body. The tube (weapon) is attached to the center of the robot through an axle fixed at its base and its transmission is by belts. The motor used in the weapon is a RimFire brushless. The bearings and internal structures of the robot are all made of 7075-T6 aluminum. The motors of the locomotion are of a Brazilian brand, Kiama.

As the floor of the arena is made of steel, Carrapato has several magnets that improve its fixation with the floor.

Its base is all made of carbon fiber and has sensors connected in parallel to identify the line on the floor and change its direction of movement. Carrapato is hardly hit in its base, for being coated by its own weapon.

An interesting fact is that Carrapato is an autonomous robot, but it can also be radio-controlled. In addition, the robot uses its own electronics, which is the Vespa.
