Year of creation:
The idea of building Crápula has existed since 2004. However, with the entry of new members and the emergence of new ideas, the project was shelved. After the first Winter Challenge, in July 2005, it was necessary to build a robot with a different weapon for ENECA, held in October of the same year. So the project was resumed, giving rise to Crápula.
The name, chosen since the beginning of the project, is a joke with the robot called Crap, from Instituto Mauá de Tecnologia, due to the great similarity with Crap. Its logo emphasizes the fact that the robot has a wide range of action with its bar; the great wings of Crápula make it clear that is not good to get close.
