In the early editions of the Robot War, the competition itself was between the teams, not between the robots themselves. In this way, the number of robots that a team could have was unlimited, and for a round any one of the robots could be chosen, and points were counted for the team, not for the robot. So the team with the most victories was considered champion regardless of the robot used.

So Uai! was developed! to compete with the Chromus (main robot) in the 2nd Robot War, headquartered at Unicamp. This project consisted of a structure made with molded steel plates that covered the entire robot, with a fixed impact tip in front of the robot that had the purpose of tearing the carcass of the opposing robot and an extremely robust drive system that allowed it to push the opponents.

Uai! can be, together with Scorpion and Chromus, considered a pioneer in the Brazilian Robot War.
