Thor consisted of a compact structure, added with efficient locomotion, and as an active weapon it had a powerful impact hammer, mechanically driven through an electrical system. This was the first project of a robot with four wheels – which were driven by 2 of the 3 Bosch motors – this characteristic made it extremely agile, an important fact for a hammer bot.

After being very well accepted in the competition, the team had the idea of ​​adding to the back of their hammer another weapon possibility: a burning piece of iron – a weapon that was only possible due to the high currents supported by automotive batteries. This weapon was very efficient against robots armored with polymer, after all, its protection was easily melted.
